Shri Vijender Gupta, 49, is one of India’s brightest young political leaders imbued with modern thinking, transformational leadership qualities, administrative skills and an irrepressible ‘can do’ spirit. In a political career spanning over three decades, Shri Gupta, a post graduate from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, has left indelible imprints in the realms of education, healthcare, housing, civic amenities, environment protection, security of senior citizens, among others.

His wife, Dr. Shobha Vijender (PhD), has served as member on the Bench of Magistrate Child Welfare Committee (under JJ Act 2000) and is the founder president of an NGO Sampurna. He has a daughter,Aaina, who is currently pursuing her masters from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a son, Aadhar, who is a working professional with a software company.

Time and again, he took on the government of the day on this critical issue and launched a massive public agitation on the streets to enlighten people of the menace of acute social disparity in the education system.
